Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 10-27-2023

<— IT’S FRIDAY BABY & LOOK WHO’S BACK!!!! R.K. Lilley’s latest book!! It’s time to indulge in weekend relaxation, and reading (maybe some beach combing too). I’m almost done Britney’s book and will be reviewing it this weekend. I also have 2 other books to review, that I finished. That’s right… I’m on a reading roll. YAY ME!!!

My “favorite thing this week (so far)” is…

Okay so… I found this really cool antique-ish (or maybe it really IS an antique?) secretary cabinet. Bought it used off of Marketplace and only paid $200 for it! It has a hidden desk and everything – which I’m thinking of using as my laptop desk for blogging (or maybe even vlogging eventually), surrounded by all my pretty bookish things. All the drawers & doors work so it’s time to contemplate. There’s nothing in it yet (but I think I’m going to load it up with my book trinkets and book swag). For now, I have it placed right here, and it looks fantastic. I’m so proud of it. It’s a bit of a mess (but I think it’s purposely been reconditioned to look coastal-shabby) so I think I’ll keep it like this for now, ’cause it matches the feel of the house.

P.S. Thank you to my man and his boy for helping me pick this up. I hope supper afterward was worth it. 😉 I hear it’s pretty heavy. 😂
