What tropes gets you the most excited (the ones that stop you in your tracks and make you want to read right now?)
Oh I AM SO excited about today’s list. I’m going to include my favorites in some of the categories, but if you have any favs, let me know and I’ll add them too.

Leslie: I’m living a romance book trope lol. married my not so friendly acquaintance from high school’s dad.
Lakshmi: Age gap is one of my favourites for some reason where hero is older of course and i also like when hero falls first and harder for the heroine…
Maryse: I already have a ton of “trope/genre” lists, and I shall make more as we go.

Robin: Your first two tropes. Anything with lots of angst.
Maryse: Angst is totally my thing. In books!! Only and always in books. 😉
Robin: nobody needs that in real life !
Melissa: I love a good groveling. Hard to find where I’m not annoyed at how quickly the female lead gives in
Michelle: Age gap…Dad’s best friend
Maryse: Oooooh I need to make a “Dad’s best friend” category for sure!!! All I have right now is older man/younger woman. Thank you for that idea!
Katie: Jealous scenes and possessive
Anna: Fmc moves to small town for a fresh start and meets hero, fmc ends up with amnesia… like the Amnesia duet by Cambria Hebert. Really loved the mystery around it. Fmc goes to work on mmc’s ranch, Older man younger woman…as long as it’s not made into smutty- younger wild woman trying to seduce older man. I like good build up with spice but more vanilla lol.
Dawnee: I love Cambria Heberts Take it off series for male hero helps strong down on luck girl… Also loved Kylie Scott’s Repeat for amnesia …. And also love mystery drama romance … like Tiffany Snow’s No turning back series.
