Rock Chick Rematch: A Rock Chick Novella by Kristen Ashley <— SHE REFUSES TO GIVE UP ON HIM UNTIL HE FORCES HER HAND… To celebrate this release, Kristen (as well as her publisher, 1,001 Dark Nights) are sponsoring today’s newsletter! P.S. We have a fun tidbit about the title (scroll down, below) 😉 . You’ll love this!!
The author says:
We’re heading back to Fortnum’s. Darius and Malia’s story has finally been told. ROCK CHICK REMATCH is yours for the taking!!!!
Please Note: All 1,001 Dark Nights titles have a 90-day exclusive on Kindle. After that 90-day period is complete, the novella will be released widely on all eBook vendors!
Also, I’ve not heard word yet about the audiobook, but I promise, the minute I know, you’ll know!
So what’s it about?
In high school, Malia Clark found the man of her dreams.
Darius Tucker.
But life hits them full in the face way before it ever should. Darius makes a drastic decision to keep his family safe and Malia leaves town with a secret.
When Malia returns, she seeks Darius to share all, but Darius finds out before she can tell him. At the same time, she finds out just how much Darius has changed in the years she’s been away.
She just refuses to give up on him.
Until he forces her hand.
Secrets come between Malia and Darius, at the same time Malia has to worry about weird things going on at the law firm where she works, her kid wants a car and she’s stuck in slow-cooker hell. Luckily, her ride or dies have her back.
And in the meantime, she might just learn she never should have lost hope in Darius Tucker.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
FUN FACT? This is so great!!!
Q: How did you come up with the title for this book?
A: Titling this book was HARD. Seriously hard. All the Rock Chick books have the addition of a word that starts with “Re,” and yes, there are a gajillion words starting with “Re,” but to make one match the plot and characters is a lot harder than it sounds. So there were a lot of ideas batted around for this one.
Luckily, the team behind this book is awesome, and I wish I had a better memory to share if it was D or L who had the idea for Rematch, but I don’t. In the end, though, it was the perfect title!
