She asks:

Hi!

I’m trying to find out the name of a book I read ages ago and want to find it again.

The heroine has an older brother who joins a rock band and leaves her to deal with their abusive mother on her own. She’s trying to get away from her and get an education but her brother commits suicide and she is left devastated.

She somehow meets up with the band and one of them falls for her. She makes them realize that they could have done more for her.

There is a happy ever after but that’s all I can remember.
