Apple Intelligence and Its Impact on the Classroom
In today’s ever-evolving educational landscape, technology continues to redefine how we teach and learn. Often, we didn’t know it was coming or even approve its use on our campus but the operating system of our student’s phones or ipads or laptops updates and now, a full suite of AI tools are suddenly available everywhere you can type a word.
With the introduction of Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.2 and the latest macOS, educators (and students) are gaining access to AI Tools of all kinds using what they call “Apple Intelligence” but also a full suite of services from ChatGPT.
First, we’ll talk about how Apple intelligence works and how it is accessible in the apps and web browsers that our students use and a little about how it compares to Gemini which our students are using in Google Docs. And yes, students CAN use Apple Intelligence in Google Docs.
In this episode of the 10-Minute Teacher Podcast, we’ll explore the practical applications of Apple Intelligence in the classroom, the tools it offers, and why its thoughtful use matters so much.
